California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)

The CPRA (effective 2023), which is an extension of the CCPA, fortifies Californias privacy legislation by creating the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) and providing broader consumer rights.

What is CPRA Compliance?

The CPRA now allows Californians to manage their personal information even more, such as getting their errors corrected and controlling the use of sensitive data. Companies are required to carry out risk assessments and continue to practice data minimization.

The CPRA puts California on par with the rest of the world in terms of data privacy standards, thereby guaranteeing that companies handling consumer data are acting by the rules, the data is being handled openly and companies are liable for their actions.
