Managing Partner, PrivacyTru Consulting, Chandra Singh Gwal leads PrivacyTru with a blend of deep administrative experience, a lifelong commitment to service, and a clear vision for ethical governance and organisational excellence. He leads firm strategy, client delivery, and team operations for data privacy, data protection, and Responsible AI. Owns client relationships at board and C-suite level, drives regulatory readiness engagements, and translates legal requirements into practical governance, technical controls, and training programs.

At PrivacyTru, he applies decades of governance experience to strengthen organisational trust, drive compliance, and build privacy-aware cultures. His grounding in large-scale public service and civic leadership gives clients confidence in strategic risk management, ethical frameworks, and community-centered outcomes.

40+ years of public service, institutional leadership, and advisory experience. He was Former Director of Education for the Government of Uttarakhand, where he shaped and strengthened educational systems across the state, led statewide driving policy implementation and institutional reform & effectiveness at scale and capacity building across schools and higher-education institutions.

Chandra Singh’s leadership spans beyond administration into youth and civic development. He served as Former State Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Uttarakhand – senior voluntary leadership in youth development, guiding volunteer-driven frameworks that build leadership, civic responsibility, and community engagement among young people. In recognition of his exceptional contribution to the scout and guide movement, he was honoured with the Silver Elephant Award, the highest distinction awarded by the Bharat Scouts and Guides and conferred by the President of India. Additionally, bestowed with the State Award by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.

His portfolio also includes leadership roles with the Junior Red Cross Society, National Cadet Corps (NCC), and National Service Scheme (NSS) as Former Chairman, Junior Red Cross Society / NCC / NSS – long-standing roles in community service, discipline-building, and large-scale volunteer programmes, and youth development.

Now applies this governance and operational experience to help organisations build privacy-first cultures and responsible AI practices.
