Govind S Khampa is a retired Indian Foreign Officer with over 28 years of experience in the Government of India in the fields of diplomacy, commerce, culture and administration. During his long career in the Foreign Service, he served in various key positions of responsibility in Indian Diplomatic Missions in Bhutan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, USA, South America, France and Central Asia.

After retirement, he served as  Consultant ( International Relation) to the Ministry of the Development of North Eastern Region  ( DoNER) in the Govt. of India and Consultant International Business with Aushealth Global, a Gurgaon based company in health Sector. He also served  as Executive Director in the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), and is now the elected Treasurer of the IBC.  He is also a co-founder and Governing  member of the Indian Himalayan Council of Nalanda Buddhist Tradition ( IHCNBT ),  with charge of  the President of it’s Uttarakhand unit. The IHCNBT is an apex body representing Buddhist population of the Himalayan region of India i.e. Ladakh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal,  Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand etc.
